Welcome Note - Hello, and thank you for taking the time to look at my web site! Over the next few months I will be adding to these pages to give an account and details of my career to date! I will go through some of the more memorable events and highlights of my personal career and the not so memorable, hopefully giving you an insight into the world of Professional Darts from a players point! And hopefully not “spilling the beans” or upsetting too many people on the way!

17th August 2008 - Kitchener Open PLayers Championship
Matt reached the last 16 in Canada today, he defeated Doorman Warford 3-0 (sets) in his first game and Mike Mainville in the second, once again without dropping a set. In the board final Matt overcame Dan Olson 3-1 before losing out to Andy Jenkins 3-1 in the last 16.
24th July 2008 - Matt reaches the Quarter-Finals at the World Matchplay
Matt reached the last 8 of the 2008 Stan James World Matchplay, losing to the defending champion, James Wade. He was in superb form during the tournament, with some clinical finishing, helping "Superman" defeat Scholten & Manley on his way to the quarters. He has had averages of 91, 88 & today lost out with 94!

2nd July 2008 - Las Vegas Desert Classic 2008
Matt qualified for the 2008 Las Vegas Desert Classic for the second time in three years. He lost out the first day to Robert Watson-Lang 5-3, but the next saw him defeat Sue Cusick 5-0, Peter Wright 5-4, Dave Honey 5-3 & Andy Jenkins 5-4 to qualify for the TV event where he unfortunately lost to Raymond Van Barneveld.
Matt played well this weekend in Bristol, he reached the semi-finals of Saturdays event, defeating Ray Farrell 3-1, Co Stompe 3-1, Wayne Jones 3-2, Michael Van Gerwen 3-2 & Dennis Priestley 3-2 before he lost out against Phil The Power Taylor. Sundays event saw Matt reach the last 64, defeating Jason Barry 3-0 before losing to Vincent van der Voort 3-1.
6th June 2008 - Superman reaches the last 64 in Bolton
Matt played extremley well hitting the highest average of the night to defeat Steve Beaton 6-4 in his first match! However, he lost out 9-2 against Andy Hamilton in his second game. This run has earnt Matt £1,000 towards his order of merit ranking.
27th April 2008 - Superman is Champion at the 2008 Open Holland!!
Matt played well this weekend in Holland, he won the final of Sundays non-ranked event. On the way to claiming the title he defeated many players including: Denis Ovens, Michael Van Gerwen, Andy Smith & Peter Manley!
Matt played well this weekend in Holland, he reached the last 16 before losing out in the very final leg to Jan Van Der Rassel. He defeated Richards Zuidijk 3-1 in sets, Wayne Mardle (Bye) & Colin Monk 3-2 before losing Jan Van Der Rassel, Matt hitting the wire with 2 darts at double for the match.
Matt played well this weekend in Antwerp, he reached the final of Sundays non-ranked event, defeating some top players along the way, including Colin Osborne, Wayne Jones, Tony Eccles & Terry Jenkins!

Matt played well this weekend in Telford, he reached the last 16 at the event at the International Centre without dropping a set until that round. He defeated Colin Osbourne 3-0 in sets, Scott Marsh 3-0 & Chris Mason 3-0 before losing to the World Number 1, Raymond Van Barneveld 3-0.
24th March 2008 - Last 16 in Germany for Superman
Matt played well this weekend in Germany, he reached the last 16 at the event in Bad Soden. He defeated Detlef Bietz 3-0 in sets, Nick Fulwell 3-0, Steve Smith 3-0 & Wes Newton 3-0 before losing out to Roland Scholten.
Matt played well this weekend in Gateshead, as he reached the last 32 of the tournament. He defeated Jonathon Overton 5-1 and Alan Reynolds 5-4, before narrowly losing to Andy Smith "The Pieman" 5-3. This almost certainly puts him into the finals at The Reebok Stadium in Bolton.
19th December 2007 - 2008 World Championship Result
Matt was in fine form against Roland Scholten in the first round of the Ladbrokes.com World Championships. He narrowly lost 3-2 in sets with an average of 93.88. Despite losing in sets, he actually won more legs than Roland.
Matt won 12 legs, Roland only 10.

12th December 2007 - 2008 World Championship Schedule Of Play
The schedule of play is out for the Ladbrokes.com 2008 Darts World Championship which sees Matt Clark take on Roland Scholten in the 1st round on day 2, first game on. This is scheduled to start at 7.00pm.

1st December 2007 - SUPERMAN IS FLYING IN GERMANY!
Matt prepared for the World Championships in superb style this weekend at the PartyPoker.net German Darts Championship, reaching the last 32. He defeated Andreas Muller 3-0 (in sets) in the first round, before taking out the current number 14 in the World, Ronnie Baxter, 3-2. He then narrowly lost 3-1 to Mervyn King in a great battle.
12th November 2007 - SUPERMAN IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AGAIN!
Matt has qualified for the televised; 2008 Ladbrokes.com World Championships on Sky Sports. He has taken part in this tournament for the last two years and has made it a hat-trick by qualifying yet again! He got there by being in the top 8 players in all 2007 Pro Tour events (excluding UK Open Finals) who have not already qualified for the World Championship by virtue of being in the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit.
20th May 2007 - SUPERMAN REACHES LAST 32 IN US OPEN ON TV
Matt travelled to the US this week where he defeated Kevin Horan 3-1 (in sets) in the first round before defeating Tom Curtin 3-1 and finally Colin Monk 3-2 in the last 64. It took a certain Phil "The Power" Taylor to defeat him! This run saw Matt collect another £1,500 for his order of merit ranking, where he is now up to 36th place.
22nd April 2007 - SUPERMAN QUALIFIES FOR INTERNATIONAL DARTS LEAGUE
Matt travelled to Villa Park yesterday where he deafeated 4 opponents including the in form Colin "The Wizard" Osborne who he defeated 5-3.
